Asturix Project collaborates with ICT Impulse

Asturix Project, a technology entrepeneurship partnerships younger and more dynamic in Europe was present at ICT Impulse. After the rapid international expansion of some of its projects, Asturix Project in Asturias  is requested to assist with various events and projects related to software engineering. Currently its leader has been elected to lead the Technical Department of a startup that will launch a revolutionary product. Now, it’s in the phase of constitucción and recruitment, and confirmed the interest of some of those in the Asturix Dev Team to come to Asturias to work on it.

In the other hand, the new project Asturix Incubator was commented  by Luis Iván Cuende at the conference of October 20 in the Auditorium Principe Felipe is already paying off, putting three of its projects among the thirty best in Europe, getting a second place of Braulio Valdivielso in HackNow 2012, won by Luis Iván Cuende competition in 2011 with Asturix On. There are several important organizations in Spain requesting their participation in this new project aimed at young people between 12 and 18 years.

Later, at 19.00 on a panel discussed the business model for Free Software. Together with Luis Iván Cuende (Asturix) were found in the table Manuel Cernuda (AsturLinux), José Luis Rey (Alimerka), Margarita Badiola (Asturias) and moderating Cristina Pelayo (University of Oviedo). The round table was made clear that Free Software is widely used, it has become increasingly interesting, but nevertheless the company representative admitted that they often incorporate into their processes indirectly through third party developments, the representative of AsturLinux recognized that its business can barely use it, said the representative of the Principality as always already historical “framework” released by his estate for years and spoke of new tools “Open Data”, and by Asturix became clear that in Asturias not much interest in Free Software and proof of this is that there is only one Spaniard developer in Asturix Dev Team.
